   Dr. Jia-Ning Kang is an Associate Professor in the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). She got her Ph.D. in Management Science from BIT, China. As a recipient of support from the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC), she previously served as a joint Ph.D. student at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the United States. She is awarded by Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by the China Association for Science and Technology (2022-2024).

   Her research interests mainly focus on climate change policy, low-carbon technology foresight, carbon capture and storage, and negative emission technologies. She has authored over 30 papers published in peer-reviewed academic journals, including Nature Climate Change, Nature communications, etc. Dr. Kang has performed high-level research projects for various China governmental agencies, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), and the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). She has contributed to the publication of three books, and is serving as a referee for SCI/SSCI journals such as Nature Sustainability, Applied Energy, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Science of the Total Environment, among others. She is a council member of the Chinese Society of Energy Economics and Management (CSEEM).
