  On the afternoon of September 9, 2020, Beijing Institute of Technology "Shiyuan•Beili" celebrated the 36th Teacher's Day, and Teacher Commendation Conference was held in the lecture hall of the central teaching building. The conference commended the advanced collective and individual teachers who have made outstanding contributions in personnel training, scientific research, and ideological and political work in party building and established advanced representatives to pay tribute to the teachers who have worked hard in education. More than 240 people attended the meeting, including all school leaders, representatives of academicians, relevant functional departments, heads of colleges, representatives of retired teachers, representatives of commended teachers, and representatives of teachers and students from various colleges.

  

  Professor Wei Yiming, Vice President of Beijing Institute of Technology and Director of Energy and Environmental Policy Research Center, and Professor Liao Hua, Deputy Director of the Center, respectively won the honorary award of "Academic Leading Talent" of Beijing Institute of Technology; Professor Tang Baojun, Deputy Director of the Center, was awarded the honor of "Outstanding Young Talent" of Beijing Institute of Technology Awards. Three professors attended the meeting as representatives of commending teachers and came to the stage to receive the award.

  Professor Wei Yiming, Vice President of Beijing Institute of Technology and Director of Energy and Environmental Policy Research Center, engaged in the research and teaching of energy and environmental systems engineering and climate engineering management and has carried out innovative research work and made contributions in the fields of energy-economic forecasting and decision-making modeling, disaster risk assessment, and global climate policy. He is a distinguished professor of the "Yangtze River scholars Award Program" of the Ministry of education, a winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, a leading talent of the national "ten thousand talents program", an academic leader of the "energy economy and climate policy" innovation research group of the National Natural Science Foundation, and a winner of the National Innovation Competition Award. He has presided over more than 50 scientific research projects such as the National Key R&D Program Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Innovative Research Group Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Major International Cooperation, China’s 973 Program, and the National Science and Technology Support Program. He has published more than 20 books and more than 200 academic papers in mainstream international journals, including four sub-journals of "Nature", among which more than 200 are included in SCI/SSCI. He has also won 13 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology or natural science awards or philosophy and social science awards. He is also the Vice President of the research association of unified financing method and economic mathematics of China optimal law, and the Director-General of energy economy and management research branch.

  

  Professor Liao Hua, Deputy Director of the Energy and Environmental Policy Research Center, winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, was selected as the first batch of young scholar projects in the "Changjiang Scholars Award Program" under the New Century Excellent Talent Support Program of the Ministry of Education. He has engaged in scientific research and teaching in energy economic system modeling and application, environmental management, and climate policy. He has presided over many national key scientific research tasks such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Key Research and Development Program. He has also won 4 provincial and ministerial first prizes, 2 second prizes, Mao Yisheng Beijing Youth Science and Technology Award, etc. He has published more than 70 academic papers and 10 books.

  Professor Tang Baojun, deputy dean of the School of Management and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology, and deputy director of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research. Young Changjiang Scholars in the "Changjiang Scholars Award Program" of the Ministry of Education. Engage in teaching and scientific research in the fields of environmental management, energy finance and new energy automobile industry policy. In the past ten years, as the person in charge, she has presided over more than 20 scientific research tasks such as key projects and general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (3 projects), the National Science and Technology Support Plan, the Beijing Science and Technology Innovation Base Cultivation and Development Project, and the Doctoral Fund of the Ministry of Education. She has won a total of 6 provincial and ministerial first prizes. She is concurrently the secretary-general of the Energy Economics and Management Research Branch of the China Optimum Law Research Association; the subject leader of the Beijing Key Laboratory of "Energy Economics and Environmental Management"; and the deputy director of the philosophy and social sciences base of Beijing "Economic and Social Sustainable Development".
