  Assistant Professor Zhang Lin from City University of Hong Kong is invited to give academic reportOn the afternoon of November 4, 2019, Dr. Zhang Lin, assistant professor of City University of Hong Kong, was invited to visit the center and gave an academic report entitled "Water economics: efficiency, policy, and sustainable management under climate change". The report was chaired by Professor Liao Hua, and teachers and students of the School of Management and Economics participated.

  

  During the report, Dr. Zhang Lin introduced a series of studies related to water resources under the influence of climate change at the national and sub-industry levels. First, Dr. Zhang Lin showed China's water use efficiency measured at the national level, and analyzed the changes in water use efficiency and its influencing factors. Secondly, from a sub-industry perspective, he introduced the water use efficiency of agriculture, industry and power sectors under the influence of climate change, and the effectiveness of water use policies for sustainable development of water resources. After the report, everyone exchanged ideas with Dr. Zhang Lin on research methods and other issues in water resources research.

  Dr. Zhang Lin is currently an assistant professor at the School of Energy and Environment, City University of Hong Kong and is also employed by the Department of Public Policy, City University of Hong Kong. His main research fields are energy and environmental economics, he has published more than 20 papers in important economic journals, including European Economic Review, China Economic Review, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Energy Economics, etc.
