Mr. Jianjun Tu gave a report in CEEP

  On the afternoon of August 18, 2017, Jianjun Tu from International Energy Agency(IEA) was invited to visit and submit an academic report entitled"The shifting landscape of global energy market and governance:implications for China". Many teachers and students attended the report and the report was hosted by Prof. Hua Liao.


  

  Mr. Jianjun Tu is currently the Director of IEA-China Energy Cooperation Centre and is responsible for IEA's affairs in China.He is also a visiting researcher at the Canadian Industrial Energy Data Analysis Center. Before joining the International Energy Agency, Mr. Jianjun Tu was the director and senior researcher of the China Energy and Climate Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. From 2004 to 2011, he was a partner and senior advisor to M.K. Jaccard and Associates, a well-known energy and climate policy consultancy in Vancouver, Canada. He has also served as the director of offshore operations for China's largest liquefied petroleum gas import and sales company, and Sinopec's project manager and technician. Mr. Jianjun Tu is good at strategic planning and policy evaluation of coal, oil, natural gas and power industry, and has deep research on the sustainable development of resources and environment. He has a good relationship with China's energy industry, government departments, academia and non-governmental environmental organizations.
  

  In this report, Mr. Jianjun Tu introduced the International Energy Agency and its latest progress in the cooperation with China. Then he talked about the major changes of global energy market structure, global energy governance reform and China's participation. Mr. Jianjun Tu gave the results of the analysis and discussion, proposed China's policy implications in the changing global energy market structure.Finally, teachers and students from CEEP-BIT had a heated discussion with Mr. Jianjun Tu and had a picture taken together.
