On October 21, members of the center, including Wang Ke, Zhao Weigang, Xian Yujiao, Lu Mei, Liu Yongyan and Wang Zhixin, went to Beijing Environment Exchange to conduct research. Zou Yi, assistant president of Beijing Environment Exchange, Zhang YUEWU, director of capacity building center and carbon trading center, and Gao Yuan, senior manager of carbon trading center, received the research team.

Zou Yi welcomed and supported the research work of the center and introduced the overall situation of Beijing Environment Exchange. Zhang YUEWU introduced the organizational structure and business composition of Beijing Environment Exchange, showed the trading situation of Beijing carbon market over the years, and made a comparative analysis with the carbon markets of other provinces and cities in China, such as trading rules, trading subjects, online and offline transactions, policies and market supervision, etc.



In the subsequent discussion and exchange session, members of the center introduced the latest research results and put forward relevant questions for the further development of the carbon market. The person in charge of the exchange agreed with the relevant research results and gave detailed answers to the questions. At the same time, it also introduced the relevant situation of enterprises in the industries covered by the carbon market in Beijing and prospected the construction of the national carbon market. Finally, the members of the center and the three persons in charge of the exchange discussed and exchanged the relevant details of the operation of the carbon market, as well as the issues of carbon peaking and carbon neutralization.

After the survey, the person in charge of the exchange led the members of the center to visit the trading hall and office of Beijing Environment Exchange. The two sides hope to restore the operation of the carbon market and evaluate the effect of the carbon market from both theoretical and practical aspects through school enterprise exchanges, to make suggestions for the development of China's carbon market.
