In the beginning of the press, Professor Wei Yiming, chief director of CEEP-BIT rendered the keynote speech, briefly introducing important findings by members of CEEP.

During this press, associate professor Liao Hua and Zhang Yuejun, post-doctor Wang Ke gave three reports of "China's Mid-and Long-term Energy Saving Potential Prospects","International Crude Oil Price Forecasting in 2012" and "China's Regional Energy Efficiency Index: Analysis and Prospects" respectively, and they also took questions from the reporters.  "China's Mid-and Long-term Energy Saving Potential Prospects", chiefly authored by associate professor Liao Hua, refers to that China’s energy elasticity will be kept at a 0.6 level with support of the administration. And decline of energy intensity (energy consumption per GDP) will ease due to the slow growth of economy.

"International Crude Oil Price Forecasting in 2012", chiefly authored by associate professor Zhang Yuejun, firstly review the international crude oil price and then predicts that WTI crude oil price will range from US$95 to US$105 per barrel in 2012, little more than the last year.

"China's Regional Energy Efficiency Index: Analysis and Prospects", chiefly authored by Post-Doctor Wang Ke, predicts that the energy efficiency index of 19 provinces in China will parallel or increase by 1% to 3% on condition that energy saving goals in the 12th Five-year Plan” issued by the government can be realized.
