In this context, the government proposes to advance the revolution in energy supply and demand, thus unconventional oil and gas exploration and development is increasingly valued by people. As a successful example of the development of non-conventional oil and gas, it is of great significance to learn the experience and lessons from the United States to planning and development of non-conventional oil and gas.

　　
　　Energy independence is the most important goals of the US’s the energy strategies, exploitation of unconventional oil and gas is important part of it. The successful development of unconventional oil and gas in the United States brings a wide range of beneficial effects which comes down to two main reasons: for the area of policy issues, the United States Government issued a series of legal measures to support development of unconventional oil and gas. Beside this , United States also benefited from the successful exploitation of unconventional oil and gas technology.
