Conference topics
As usual at IAEE conferences all the major fields of energy economics and policy will be addressed.
In addition there will be a special focus on the following topics, in plenary sessions and in a number of specialized concurrent sessions:
The organization of energy related innovation and technological development
Evolving technologies and energy use in the transport sector
The political economy of energy markets
Energy security
The design, integration and regulation of energy markets
Energy demand and energy efficiency
Call for Papers
Abstracts, of a maximum two pages in length, should comprise:
presentation of research topic
brief overview of related research
methods
results and conclusions
The lead author must provide complete contact details, i.e. mailing address, e-mail address and phone number. At least one author for each accepted paper must pay the registration fee and attend the conference.
Authors will be notified by March 1 of their paper's status. Authors whose abstracts are accepted will have to submit their full-length papers (up to 12 pages) by April 18, and will then be made available at the conference web-site.
Abstract submission deadline: January 17, 2011
While multiple submissions by individuals or groups are welcome, the abstract selection process will seek to ensure as broad participation as possible. If multiple submissions are accepted, then a different co-author will be required to pay the speaker registration fee and present the paper.

Swedish tax legislation requires participants to pay their registration fee including Swedish VAT.
1 Euro is approximately 9,50 SEK.
Confirmation
In order to receive confirmation of registration on e-mail, please make sure to indicate the e-mail address on the registration form! Confirmation will be sent upon receipt of payment. More information regarding payment details is available under Payment.
Alterations and Name change
Alterations to your registration must be made in writing and sent to Congrex by e-mail, post or fax,iaee2011.registration@congrex.com.
Collection of Conference documents
All documents, and name badge can be obtained from the On-site Conference Secretariat, open for the duration of the Conference.
Registration Fee Scholarships
The Stockholm 2011 conference organizers are offering a limited number of registration fee scholarships to offset the conference registration costs for students (euro 300 value).
All travel and accommodation costs associated with attending the conference are the responsibility of the recipient.
Fee scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis (first-come, first-served) until funds run out, so early applications are encouraged. No applications will be accepted after May 6, 2011.
In exchange for receiving a registration fee scholarship, students may be asked to assist the conference organizers with certain tasks, such as assembling registration packets, helping with registration, or providing technical support to session chairs.
To be eligible for consideration, you must
be a full-time student as of the application deadline (or have completed degree within the past 6 months and not be employed full-time);
be a member of IAEE in good standing. Membership information may be found at the official IAEE web site
Application materials consist of
Letter from applicant (see details below);
Letter from applicant's advisor or another faculty member familiar with your research (see details below).
The letter from applicant should state that you meet qualifications listed above (include photocopy of student ID);
briefly describe your energy interests and what you hope to accomplish by attending the conference;
provide the name and contact information for the faculty member who will be writing a letter on your behalf.
The letter from applicant's advisor or another faculty member familiar with your research should briefly describe your research interests, the nature of your academic program, and your academic progress; state whether he or she recommends that you be awarded the conference fee scholarship.
Best Student Paper Awards
IAEE is pleased to announce its 2011 Best Student Paper Award. A top prize of $1000 will be given for the best paper in energy economics. Three runner up prizes of $500 each will also be given.
All four winners will receive a waiver of registration fees to the Stockholm 2011 International Conference on June 19-23, 2011. To be considered for the IAEE Best Student Paper Award please follow the guidelines below.
Application Guidelines
To be eligible for consideration, the applicant must
be a full-time student as of the application deadline (or have completed degree within the past 12 months and not be employed full-time);
be a member of IAEE in good standing. Membership information may be found at the official IAEE web site
The paper must
be original work completed by the student;
not be co-authored by a faculty member or other non-student (papers co-authored by students are ok).
Application materials consist of
Paper abstract; (may be same as abstract submitted to conference, in case one has been submitted);
Paper - double-spaced; 8.5 by 11 inch page setup; 30 pages maximum (any paper that exceeds the page limitation will be subject to disqualification);
Letter from applicant stating that applicant meets qualifications listed above (include photocopy of student ID);
Letter from applicant's advisor or another faculty member familiar with applicant's research confirming that paper meets qualifications listed above and recommending it for consideration.
