Recently, Director Gao Shiwang and his delegation from the State Key Laboratory of Efficient and Flexible Coal‑Fired Power and Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) under China Huaneng Group visited and conducted research at the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research / Beijing Laboratory for System Engineering of Carbon Neutrality, Beijing Institute of Technology. They held in‑depth exchanges on energy transition, CCUS technological innovation and resource utilization, and had a forum with Professor Wei Yiming, Director of the Beijing laboratory, as well as other experts.

Director Gao Shiwang’s delegation toured the laboratory and learned in detail about its construction layout, research priorities and research achievements. Professor Wei Yiming gave a key introduction to innovative outcomes in carbon‑neutrality pathway design and low‑carbon transition. During the forum, the two sides engaged in thorough discussions on joint research tackling, CCUS policy research, talent training, and the co‑construction of innovation platforms.

Director Gao Shiwang stated that his team would further deepen cooperation with the Beijing Laboratory for System Engineering of Carbon Neutrality, advance the commercial translation of research findings, and promote win‑win development through university‑enterprise collaboration.
