On May 16, 2017, A.Prof. Chunbo Ma from The University of Western Australia (UWA) gave a report entitled " Residential Energy Transition in Rural China: The Role of Fuel Availability, Accessibility, Affordability and Applicability" at CEEP, BIT. The report was hosted by Prof. Hua Liao, some other teachers and students attended the report.

This study quantifies the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs) using AIM/CGE (Asia-Pacific Integrated Assessment/Computable General Equilibrium). SSP3 (regional rivalry) forms the main focus of the study, which is supposed to face high challenges both in mitigation and adaptation. To meet the objective, we investigated the primary energy supply, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, air pollutant emissions, land use, and climate information.

Dr. Hancheng Dai is interested in climate policy and energy economy for years. He spent five years developing a China’s multi-level CGE and database. The model has been widely used by many policy makers. So far, he had published 19 papers on top journals like Energy Economics.
