During 10-11 October 2016, at the invitation of the International Research Centre on Environment and Development, Prof. Qiao-mei Liang, doctoral student Mei-mei Xue, and Master student Kun Zhang participants the annual meeting of " Dynamics of Green Growth in European and Chinese cities (DRAGON)” project in Paris, France. Seven teams attended this seminar, including University of East Anglia, Beijing Institute of Technology, University of Leeds, International Research Centre on Environment and Development, Wuppertal Institute, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Normal University. This symposium is an important part of the China-EU international research cooperation project, and 14 researchers from the related organizations attended the seminar.
The annual meeting focused on a series of key scientific questions about how the energy and low-carbon development are implement at the city level. The GOAL of this seminar is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the overall institutional framework and evolution mode of urban low-carbon development based on the typical cities in the EU and China.
The Dragon project is one of the Sino-EU multilateral joint research project in the field of management science sponsored by the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) , the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Agence Nationale de Recherche (ANR), the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). The implementation period of Dragon project is from September 1, 2014 to August 31, 2017 (three years). Prof. Qiao-mei Liang in CEEP-BIT is the Co-investigator of the Dragon project.
