A.Prof. Wei Xie gave talks in CEEP

  On February 17, 2017, A.Prof. Wei Xie from Peking University gave a report entitled “Assessing the climate change impact on economics—Evidence from agricultural” at CEEP-BIT. The report was hosted by Prof. Hua Liao, some other teachers and students attended the report.

  In this report, A.Prof. Xie discussed the climate change impact to specific crop, crop market, and more wildly, the whole macro-economy. Using the CGE model, he built a formula which can describe the damage in functional form.

  Wei Xie is Assistant Professor in School of Advanced Agricultural Sciences, Peking University, advanced in CGE model, Integrated Assessment Model (IAM), and especially focusing on climate change damage to agricultural field. He has published 20 journal articles, and leading two major ”973” programs.
