Prof. Zili Yang had a lecture for graduate students majored in energy and climate economic

  From May to June, Zili Yang, the adjunct Professor of Beijing Institute of Technology and the economic professor of SUNY Binghamton, was invited to return to teach graduate students majored in energy and climate economic the course “energy and environment paper reading”.

 

  The course lasted for six weeks, the main topics of which containing "General equilibrium theory and its application" "General equilibrium theory and mathematical programming" "Welfare economics" "Public goods and its externalities" "Dynamic Programming and Optimal Control Method Introduction " " Optimal exploitation of non-renewable resources issues " "The market structure of non-renewable resources " and " Renewable resource economics".

 

 

  During the class, Prof. Yang helped students deeply understand economic concepts and cultivate their economic intuition from vivid examples and through linkages between economic theory and social reality. He also introduced related models and data to help students operate independently. In addition, Prof. Yang also shared a lot of classical environmental economics literatures and textbooks to help students deepen understanding of this subject.
