At 15:00 on January 27, 2018, Jerry YAN, professor of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, was invited to visit CEEP and gave a talk entitled “Transition and innovation of energy systems”. The report was hosted by Prof. Yu Biying, many teachers and students attended the report.

　　In today's report, Professor Jerry YAN mainly introduced how the energy system will transit under the rapid development of technologies and how the energy system could innovate in the worldwide. Professor Yan according to when - why - how - what the main line to expand. When? It’s now. Why? Because of the need to cope with global climate change, achieve energy poverty reduction and sustainable development. How? With the large-scale use of renewable energy, there is a need to be more flexible in achieving supply-demand balance. What? Micro-grid technology, distributed energy, integrated control systems are rapidly developing.
