About Speaker:
Prof. Du Xiangwan is specialized in applied physics and high-power laser technology and energy research.
He was elected as Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) for two terms (2002-2006 and 2006-2010), Senior Scientific Advisor of China Academy of Engineering Physics (CAEP), Member of Standing Committee of China Association of Science and Technology (CAST), and Vice President of Chinese Physical Society. His achievements won him a Top Award of National Scientific and Technological Progress, more than 10 awards of first and second class at national level, and at ministerial level as well.
