Author: Source: Date:2026-09-15 Views:

To promote academic exchanges and cooperation among young scholars in the field of energy and environmental policy and management in China and improve the academic research level and theoretical innovation capacity of this discipline, the 10th National Youth Academic Conference on Energy, Environmental Policy and Management will be held in Changsha, Hunan Province from November 6 to 8, 2026. Jointly sponsored by the Energy Economics and Management Research Branch of Chinese Society for Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics and Hunan University, and undertaken by the Business School of Hunan University and other institutions, the conference sincerely welcomes the participation of young scholars nationwide.

I. Conference Overview

During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China’s energy development has entered a stage of overlapping security risks, accelerated low-carbon transformation, breakthroughs in energy innovation, in-depth institutional reform and restructured international cooperation. The state has clearly proposed to initially build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy system by 2030. Meanwhile, the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is advancing rapidly. The large-scale development of new energy, construction of new power systems, establishment of a unified national power market, and implementation of the dual carbon control system have put forward new requirements for energy security, market mechanisms, technological innovation and governance capacity.

Against this backdrop, centered on the theme of Modern Energy System Construction and Green Low-Carbon Transformation, this conference invites renowned domestic and foreign scholars and industry experts to conduct in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics including energy security and resilience, new power systems and power markets, carbon pricing and carbon markets, artificial intelligence and digitalization of energy, green low-carbon transformation, and high-quality development of the energy industry. It aims to facilitate academic exchanges and cooperation in energy economics and management, and promote theoretical innovation and policy practice. Young scholars are warmly invited to submit papers and attend the conference.
