In January 2020, the paper "Climate engineering management: an emerging interdisciplinary subject", co-authored by Professor Wei Yiming, Deputy Director Professor Yu Biying, postdoctors Li Hui and Chen Weiming, and doctoral students Kang Jianing and Wang Jinwei, is an important journal in the economic management field of Emerald.

Based on his systematic research carried out in the field of energy and environmental policy and project management since the end of the last century, Professor Wei Yiming combined with the current major global climate change and the important role that climate engineering will play in mitigating climate change. The theoretical concept of climate engineering management was put forward in an effective way, emphasizing that scientific and effective management of climate engineering should be fully combined with the particularity of climate engineering to help it achieve various engineering goals, and a relevant research group was led. Over the years, Professor Wei Yiming and Professor Yu Biying coordinated the team based on the team ’s more than 20 years of relevant research in the field of climate change and engineering management, and carried out in-depth research on all aspects of theory, knowledge, and technology involved in climate engineering management A set of systematic engineering management theory system has been established, and it has been revised and perfected in combination with field investigation many times. Specifically, in view of the global, long-term, multi-regional, cross-sectoral, and technical differences in climate engineering, the five major problems in climate engineering management are summarized, namely, how much to reduce, who will reduce, when Reduce, how to reduce, what effect, etc. Focusing on these issues, a multi-agent collaboration theory of climate engineering management including time collaboration, space collaboration, and element collaboration was pioneered. The overall planning, responsibility sharing, Path design, action plan, comprehensive evaluation, and integration of time-space-element collaboration to achieve global optimization of the climate engineering system to ensure and accelerate the completion of climate engineering goals.
