Professor Luisa F. Cabeza from the University of Lleida, Spain, was invited to CEEP Editor: School of Management and Economics

  On October 18, 2019, at 15:00 pm, Professor Luisa F. Cabeza of the University of Lleida, Spain, was invited to give a lecture entitled "Thermal energy storage and artificial intelligence research at the University of Lleida, Spain". The lecture was presided over by Professor Yu Biying. In attendance were the teachers and students of the School of Management and Economics.

  A professor at the Lleida University, Luisa F. Cabeza is also a member of the International Energy Agency’s International Energy Cooperation Council in Spain, and a member of the European Commission for the third H2020 Challenge. She has 64 Google academic h-index. The research team she created has a high international reputation for publishing multiple collaborative papers and being invited to multiple conferences. Professor Cabeza also participated in the preparation of three Intergovernmental Panel on climate change (IPCC) reports, including the special report on renewable energy and climate change mitigation (SRREN) and the fifth and sixth assessment reports (AR5, AR6). She has won numerous awards in Catalonia, Spain.

 

  During the lecture, Professor Cabeza summarized the work of the GREiA research team at the University of Lleida on thermal energy storage (TES), and artificial intelligence (AI). She established relationship and application of the two themes. Besides, she showed how teamwork can improve the visibility and success of research work. The lecture ended with question and answer session as well as a group picture.
